5 Movies Turning 10 This Month

5 Movies Turning 10 This Month

Posted by Allison Cianci on 18th Mar 2016

Get ready to feel really old with these 5 movies that came out in March 2006.  I can't believe that all of them are turning 10 this month.  I remember those pre-Netflix days having to get someone to drive me to the video store to rent a DVD to watch with my friends.

Relieve the old days and feed your early 2000's nostalgia by re-watching some of these classics...and why not order the poster while you're at it.

Make sure to leave your favorites in the comments below and let us know which ones you will be planning on re-watching.

Aquamarine

If you were a preteen back in 2006, chances are you saw or at least remember this movie.  It was your typical movie for back then, girls find a mermaid washed up on a beach and they're given the chance to make a wish if they help the mermaid prove to her father that love exists.  Aquamarine most likely not a movie kids will continue to watch for another 10 years, but it'll definitely bring back some memories for the ones who watched it when it first came out.

Failure to Launch

If you've never seen Failure to Launch, what are you waiting for?  The movie's about a 35 year old guy who refuses to move out of his parent's home, so they hire a woman who's job it is to get guys out of the house.  It's also got so many familiar faces like Bradley Cooper, and a scene wither Matthew McConaughey gets bitten by a chipmunk.  What more could you ask for in a movie, really?

The Hills Have Eyes

All I remember about watching this movie was that it was SUPER creepy!  A family traveling through the southwest is forced to stop in the middle of a desert when their car breaks down.  Problem is the desert they're trapped in is the spot the government used for nuclear testing...and it's inhabited by people who aren't exactly people anymore.

She's the Man

Out of all of these, She's the Man is the one movie that I've seem probably about a million times.  Before Amanda Bynes quit acting and went a little crazy, she did awesome movies like this.  It's about a girl who dresses up as a guy and takes her brother's spot in his new school. There are so many great quotes from the movie, that people are still saying 10 years later!  100% a must watch if you haven't already seen it.

V for Vendetta

Remember, remember, the Fifth of November.  V for Vendetta takes place in a futuristic Great Britain under control of a fascist government.  A woman finds herself an instrumental part in taking down the government under the influence of a man calling himself V.  If you like movies that make you think, this is one you don't want to miss.
